Project manager

Description

Summary of Responsibilities
The project manager has full responsibility for the management of his projects, both technically and administratively, as well as the results inherent in them.
He has, among other things, the ability to prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets. He also has the skills necessary for monitoring the internal and administrative management of contracts as well as the skills to manage the managerial staff assigned to the sites.
The incumbent must be able to use the Projest software and perform the duties of the estimator in the specialty of civil engineering, structures and maritime works.
He will have to move.
Compensation is competitive.
TASK PROFILE
• Plan construction methods and equipment and labor requirements in collaboration with the superintendent and the director of the Equipment and Logistics department;
• Collaborate with the health, safety and environment manager with regard to all the required documentation and / or procedures to be submitted;
• Collect, verify and have the shop drawings approved;
• Plan the schedule of achievements with suppliers and / or subcontractors and ensure coordination with the superintendent;
• Prepare quality control plans and appoint a person responsible for the site to ensure the required quality standards as stipulated in the contractual documents;
• Initiate and participate in various types of meetings (administration, technical and coordination) as well as those planned by the engineers supervising the contracts;
• Prepare payment estimates, approve and recommend disbursements for subcontractors (progressive statements) and suppliers of its projects;

Identify the additional work required and claim the costs from the owner's representative;
• See to the follow-up of non-conformities and lists of deficiencies;
• Collect, at the end of the contracts, the information relating to the perception of the work providers on the level of satisfaction of our services "customer satisfaction performance";
• See to the analysis of the contract and develop an end-of-project report;
• See to the evaluation of pre-selected suppliers and subcontractors.

What is required

Education, requirements and experience

• Has a BAC in civil engineering
• Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec
• Has 3 to 5 years of experience
• Mastery of the Project software
• Mastery of Office suite software


Personal qualities, skills and aptitudes
• Dynamism, great autonomy and rigor
• Sense of analysis and organization
• Ability to work with several files at the same time
